BERRIDALE
BERRIDALE
was established in the 1860's by Scotsman, William Oliver. The township was originally a 320 acre holding named after Oliver's hometown of Berriedale in Scotland.

Population
Today, Berridale has a population of approximately 1000 people and is affectionately know to the locals as boulder country.

Berridale Boulders
An attraction to both National and
International photographers, the varying shapes and
sizes of the area's boulders are due to volcanic
activity 400 million years ago and and the naturally
occurring erosion since.
