The Snowy River Shire is the foothills community to Kosciuszko National Park and Perisher and Thredbo ski resorts. The Shire comprises a number of communities, all with their own marvels including wineries, lakes' Eucumbene and Jindabyne, the Snowy River, equestrian facilities, numerous walking and biking tracks and the engineering feat of the Snowy Hydro Scheme.
